Wet Electrostatic Precipitator
A wet electrostatic precipitator is a high-efficiency terminal purification system used to remove fine particulate matter, PM2.5, acid mist, water droplets, aerosols and other condensable pollutants from wet industrial flue gas. It is typically installed after bag filters, cyclone separators, spray towers, scrubbers or desulfurization systems, and is widely applied in coal-fired boilers, biomass boilers, steel plants, chemical plants, waste incineration plants, lime kilns, ceramic kilns, carbon plants, textile printing and dyeing plants and other industrial processes.
The equipment uses high-voltage electrostatic adsorption combined with wet flushing. Flue gas passes through a high-voltage electric field, where fine particles and mist droplets are charged, captured on the collecting electrode surface, and then washed away by circulating water. This wet cleaning method avoids mechanical rapping and reduces the risk of secondary dust emission, making it especially suitable for high-humidity, corrosive and sticky flue gas conditions.
Gas ionization and particle charging: High-voltage DC power generates a strong electric field between the anode tubes/plates and cathode wires, causing gas ionization and particle charging.
Fine particle and mist collection: Charged PM2.5, acid mist, droplets, aerosols and fine dust migrate to the collecting electrode and are captured on the electrode surface.
Wet flushing cleaning: The flushing system forms a continuous water film to wash captured pollutants into the drain, preventing ash or residue buildup and avoiding secondary dust.
Terminal polishing after pretreatment: When arranged after a bag filter, spray tower, scrubber or desulfurization system, the WESP further removes residual fine particles, mist droplets and aerosols from wet flue gas.
High removal efficiency for fine particles: effectively captures PM2.5, submicron particles, acid mist, droplets and aerosols from wet industrial flue gas.
No secondary dust emission: wet flushing replaces mechanical rapping, improving outlet cleanliness and operational stability.
Strong adaptability to wet flue gas: suitable for high-humidity, corrosive, sticky and fluctuating exhaust conditions commonly found after desulfurization or scrubbing.
Stainless steel anode tube modules: anode modules, shell and internal components can be made from stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials according to flue gas properties.
Flexible structural layout: available in vertical or horizontal type, with circular or square shell, and can be integrated with existing dust removal and desulfurization systems.
Customized engineering supply: configured according to actual air volume, temperature, humidity, dust load and emission requirements.
