Custom stainless steel wet electrostatic precipitator for carbon and graphite electrode plants. Designed for calcining, roasting, kneading and asphalt storage exhaust to remove pitch fume, tar mist, PM2.5, acid mist, droplets and aerosols. Vertical or horizontal WESP with stainless steel anode tube modules.
Wet Electrostatic Precipitator (WESP) for Carbon Plants
Our wet electrostatic precipitator for carbon plants is a customized WESP system designed for carbon, graphite electrode and anode production lines. It can be applied to exhaust streams from calcining kilns, roasting furnaces, kneading and forming sections, asphalt storage and transfer points, and downstream wet flue gas after desulfurization or scrubbing systems. The equipment helps carbon plants remove pitch fume, tar mist, fine particulate matter, PM2.5, acid mist, water droplets, aerosols and visible plume, supporting ultra-low emission upgrading and more stable terminal exhaust control.
The equipment adopts high-voltage electrostatic adsorption combined with wet flushing. Fine particles, pitch fume, tar mist and aerosols are charged in the electric field, captured on the collecting electrode surface, and then washed away by circulating water. This wet cleaning method avoids mechanical rapping and reduces the risk of secondary dust emission, making it especially suitable for high-humidity, sticky and corrosive flue gas conditions commonly found in carbon production processes.
Gas ionization and particle charging: High-voltage DC power generates a strong electric field between the anode tubes and cathode wires, causing gas ionization and particle charging.
Pitch fume and tar mist collection: Charged pitch fume, tar mist, PM2.5, acid mist, droplets and aerosols migrate to the collecting electrode and are captured on the electrode surface.
Wet flushing cleaning: The flushing system forms a continuous water film to wash captured pollutants into the drain, preventing tar or pitch residue buildup and secondary dust.
Deep polishing after pretreatment: When arranged after a bag filter, spray tower, scrubber or desulfurization system, the WESP further removes residual fine particles, mist droplets and aerosols from wet carbon plant exhaust.
High removal efficiency for sticky aerosols: effectively captures pitch fume, tar mist, PM2.5, submicron particles, acid mist, droplets and aerosols from carbon plant exhaust.
No secondary dust emission: wet flushing replaces mechanical rapping, improving outlet cleanliness and operational stability.
Strong adaptability to carbon plant flue gas: suitable for calcining, roasting, kneading and asphalt-related exhaust with high moisture, viscous components and fluctuating working conditions.
Stainless steel anode tube modules: anode modules, shell and internal components can be made from stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials according to flue gas properties.
Flexible structural layout: available in vertical or horizontal type, with circular or square shell, and can be integrated with existing dust removal, desulfurization and waste gas treatment systems.
Customized engineering supply: configured according to actual air volume, temperature, humidity, tar/pitch fume load and emission requirements.
