Product Overview

Our wet electrostatic precipitator for biomass boilers is a customized WESP system designed for biomass-fired boilers, biomass power plants, industrial biomass steam boilers, biomass hot water boilers and biomass thermal oil boilers. It is typically installed after cyclone separators, bag filters, spray towers, scrubbers or wet desulfurization systems to perform terminal deep purification of high-humidity, corrosive and sticky biomass boiler flue gas. The equipment helps biomass boiler systems control PM2.5, tar mist, acid mist, alkali metal salt aerosols, water droplets and fine particulate matter, supporting ultra-low emission and visible plume reduction requirements.

Biomass boiler flue gas often contains fine dust, condensable tar mist, alkali metal salts, acid gases and sticky submicron particles. These components are difficult to remove completely by conventional dry dust collectors, and they may cause bag fouling, desulfurization tower carryover or downstream equipment fouling. The WESP uses high-voltage electrostatic adsorption combined with wet flushing to capture fine mist and particles on the collecting electrode surface, then washes them away with circulating water. This wet cleaning method avoids mechanical rapping, reduces secondary dust emission and helps downstream treatment systems operate more stably.

How It Works

• Gas ionization and particle charging: High-voltage DC power generates a strong electric field between the anode tubes/plates and cathode wires, causing gas ionization and particle charging.

• PM2.5, tar mist and aerosol collection: Charged PM2.5, tar mist, acid mist, alkali metal salt aerosols, droplets and fine fly ash migrate to the collecting electrode and are captured on the electrode surface.

• Wet flushing cleaning: The flushing system forms a continuous water film to wash captured pollutants into the drain, preventing tar accumulation, salt crystallization and secondary dust.

• Terminal polishing after biomass pretreatment: When arranged after bag filters, cyclone separators, spray towers, scrubbers or wet desulfurization systems, the WESP further removes residual fine particles, mist droplets and aerosols from biomass boiler flue gas.
