Custom stainless steel wet electrostatic precipitator for coal-fired, biomass, waste-to-energy and industrial power plants. Installed after wet FGD to remove PM2.5, SO₃ acid mist, gypsum mist, aerosols, droplets and fine particulate matter for ultra-low emission polishing.
Wet Electrostatic Precipitator for Power Plants
Our wet electrostatic precipitator for power plants is a customized WESP system designed for terminal flue gas polishing in coal-fired, biomass, waste-to-energy and industrial power generation facilities. It is typically installed downstream of ESP, bag filter, electrostatic bag filter, spray tower, scrubber or wet flue gas desulfurization systems to perform deep purification of saturated wet flue gas. The equipment helps power plants control PM2.5, SO₃ acid mist, gypsum mist, aerosols, water droplets, condensable particulate matter and fine fly ash, supporting ultra-low emission and visible plume reduction requirements.
The equipment adopts high-voltage electrostatic adsorption combined with wet flushing. Fine particles, acid mist and aerosols in wet flue gas are charged in the electric field, captured on the collecting electrode surface, and then washed away by circulating water. Unlike dry electrostatic precipitators, WESP uses water film or spray cleaning instead of mechanical rapping, which avoids secondary dust and is especially suitable for high-humidity, corrosive and sticky flue gas conditions after desulfurization.
Gas ionization and particle charging: High-voltage DC power generates a strong electric field between the anode tubes/plates and cathode wires, causing gas ionization and particle charging.
Fine particle and mist collection: Charged PM2.5, SO₃ acid mist, gypsum mist, aerosols, droplets and fine fly ash migrate to the collecting electrode and are captured on the electrode surface.
Wet flushing cleaning: The flushing system forms a continuous water film to wash captured pollutants into the drain, preventing gypsum accumulation, salt deposition and secondary dust.
Terminal polishing after desulfurization: When arranged after ESP, bag filter, scrubber or wet flue gas desulfurization, the WESP further removes residual fine particles, mist droplets and aerosols from saturated power plant flue gas.
High removal efficiency for fine power plant aerosols: effectively captures PM2.5, submicron particles, SO₃ acid mist, gypsum mist, droplets and aerosols.
No secondary dust emission: wet flushing replaces mechanical rapping, improving outlet cleanliness and operational stability.
Strong adaptability to saturated desulfurization flue gas: suitable for high-moisture, low-temperature and corrosive flue gas downstream of wet FGD systems.
Stainless steel anode tube modules: anode modules, shell and internal components can be made from stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials according to flue gas composition.
Flexible structural layout: available in vertical or horizontal type, with circular or square shell, and can be integrated with existing ESP, bag filter, FGD and stack systems.
Customized engineering supply: configured according to actual flue gas volume, temperature, humidity, dust/mist load, installation space and emission requirements.
